Ironman Africa

The African leg of the Ironman was raced in our city today. It was a perfect day and thousands of cyclists came through our village. They had good support from us as we cheered them on. The first cyclist came through at 8 25 am and the last at 5 25pm!!  I doubt if he will complete the marathon. Cut off time is midnight and he still has 22 kms to ride to the finish of the cycle leg.  The race was live on TV and it was good to see PE looking good (and our village was featured often.)
I managed to load all the photos for my golf photo book so I took advantage of the quiet day. This afternoon I went for a walk and it was wonderful seeing no cars or visitors in the village!!
