Happy days are here again...

The county cricket season kicks off again next Friday, which means I'm a happy pig again. This morning I made the trek into the wilds of Hertfordshire to see a couple of hours of a pre-season friendly match between Middlesex and Surrey at Merchant Taylors' School - yes, Middlesex should have hosted us at Lords, but they seem to be very low in the pecking order with the MCC.

Main shot is of Nathan Barnwell delivering the ball that brought the only success for Surrey in the session, while the extra shows that although the sun was shining brightly, the wind made it feel extremely cold.

Surrey are celebrating their 180th anniversary this year, so you can expect an even greater than usual number of cricket related blips in the coming months - for this I make no apology :-)
