Mothering Sunday
I woke up at 6am and then realised it was actually 7am so I needed to get up! I felt tired after losing one hour of sleep due to the clocks going forward.
Today is Mothering Sunday, and for the first time I had none of the boys at home. However I received phone calls from all of them, and I opened two cards (one from Xena, one from Luke) and the other two cards have not arrived yet.
Today was a beautiful day, sunny with bright blue skies...but there was a chilly wind, so it was colder than it looked. We went to walk at Epsom common today, somewhere we have not been since last summer as it gets very boggy there in winter. Today it was as dry as a bone and a farmer next to the common has started a new pop up coffee place called The Barn which was so popular today. The flat whites were excellent too.
We then went to Gavin's golf club to play golf, although first we had lunch on the terrace before playing. It was so windy that you were either hitting into a strong wind which was not great, or the wind took your ball and you ended up where you did not want to be. On the first hole the wind caused my golf bag on it's trolley to be blown back some distance, so I soon realised I had to keep the brake on every time I stopped. It did make the golf a bit more challenging today playing in that wind. Gavin took this shot of me, can you see where my ball is? The answer is in the extras.
Now a lazy night, I have so much TV to catch up on and I keep getting more recommendations of things to watch...Plus I am trying to finish my book which is a good one - The Frozen River.
