Mothering Sunday
R & S collected us at 9 am to head for Ashbourne. Now this is early for me, especially as the clocks went forward an hour this morning, effectively getting me out of bed at 7am. I’m not an early bird :0(
We went to a quirky coffee shop for refreshments and breakfast for B and me as we had missed out at home. It is a dog friendly cafe and I’ve discovered that we have a branch in Uttoxeter, so somewhere new to try out with Amber.
We went to Oswald’s Church for the Mother’s Day service. It was lovely to be back there, memories of the wedding last November.
When we were dropped off at home S moved some heavy pots down the steps in the back garden for me. I can now make progress with the rearranging.
I’ve not done much during the rest of the day, I was too tired.
The picture in extras shows my present, a perfectly timed book. I read in bed at night and had almost finished my current book which is The Last Runaway by Tracy Chevalier, which I have thoroughly enjoyed.
