A very satisfing day

It was the first time I had planned and led the Mothering Sunday service at church on my own and I had involved the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Guides and woke up feeling a little nervous. But I needn't have, the children were great and all seemed to go well. My first parade service!
I came home to an afternoon tea lunch which my daughter arrived with including a delicious home made strawberry cake. We had a walk in the sunshine and I came home to find this little fellow enjoying a splash in the pond. It's a bit cropped as I took the picture through the window but he looked to be enyoing himself and I didn't want to disturb him. My son  contaced me by Messenger so I could see my little Grandson looking very excited and happy.
I've just had a good hour in the garden cutting back a Buddleia and Hydrangea - a bit late maybe, but hopefully they'll forgive me and flower well in the Summer for the butterflies. Fingers crossed.
