A funny kind of day
The youngest has been really hard work the last couple of days, I've put it down to missing the husband, but think he may have been coming down with something (so now I feel bad!). We went to church this morning and he was like a limpet, head on my lap for most of the time and wouldn't leave me. Eldest asked to help and was duly made into the alter boy, which he was super proud about. Church was packed - they ran out of printed service sheets! All the ladies were given posies for mothering Sunday, which was a lovely touch.
Home, youngest changed straight into pj's and was upset as we had to run a quick errand to get something from Tesco. He has been under a duvet in various parts of the house for the rest of the day and I managed to get him to eat one roast potato at dinner - eve chocolate cake was refused! I suspect he will be off school tomorrow and he is running a slight temperature
Eldest has helped me all day. He took himself off on a secret mission (cutting flowers and putting them in vases for me - which is the blip picture). He requested i make a chocolate cake to celebrate mothering Sunday, so i did.
So limited chores done, but poorly child given plenty of love and not poorly child also given plenty of love.
