Welcome to the Neighborhood
We were up early, showered and out the door in time for 7:00 am Mass. Today is Laetare Sunday so the vestments the priest and Deacon wear are light pink/“rose”colored. More info can be found here: “https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laetare_Sunday”. Sometimes, it is hard for the men to wear that color and the priest always explains the reasoning. We are about at the mid-point in Lent so we have reason to rejoice. But the main message was about the prodigal son, being penitent and being forgiven. It is supposed to be overcast all day. I wanted to get a good photo of these cherry trees at the entrance to our neighborhood before the forecasted storm arrives. Jamie’s entrance looks just as beautiful. We came home and thoroughly cleaned our van to get it ready for sale. It has been such a good car but the time is right to get new. Hours later, we are finally finished and, gosh, it looks great. I cannot believe how many things we had stuffed in the storage areas. We will not do that again. Hubby is grilling burgers for dinner. I will make the sides. Otherwise, I am finished for the day. We just got word that our mother’s fence blew down. The plan is that Parker (and hopefully others) will meet hubby on Wednesday to repair it. I will try to take my mother down to supervise. Hope your week will be stress free without new problems popping up. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting.
