Visited by a Beefly

The Greater Beefly, Bombylius major, has been posted recently by several blippers.  Now it is my turn.

As I was about to go out on a blip hunt, I first took a look round my garden and found one had come for a visit.

I chose this view of it because the long forward-pointing proboscis was casting a clear shadow on the ground.
