Boys

My new flatmate and good friend David is here for the weekend, which was a nice surprise when I got back from go karting this morning! Our friends Juliet and Pete came by, so naturally Pete and David had a fight with the kendo shinai which we found in the flat a couple of months ago. We also had a discussion about childhood games, and it turns out David spent most of his childhood playing games involving throwing things at each other; whereas I spent most of it playing with model horses, doing role-playing, and creating stories. Typical gender differences?

So back to karting; this morning I went go karting at Knockhill, and it was amazing. It was fun putting into practice the driving line and cornering techniques I've picked up from playing Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3. I succeeded in not spinning out at all, and managed to have the second fastest lap out of the ten of us racing.
