Temperature +9. Mostly cloudy. Windless.
Cooking day.
Out after that, but not much time for it. I went, of course with my moped/scooter, past the forest pit (Mar 18th, '23) very close to us where I usually spot something interesting, but small. This time it was the orange-edged polypore in the picture on a cut tree trunk. It is a wood-decay fungus, might be a red-belted conk (Fomitopsis pinicola).
Then I went forward along the forest path. On the way there is a path leading up to the rocks that can be seen far in our window view I have blipped before (Feb 17th). I decided to try riding it and see how long way it's possible to go over stones and tree roots. I got up as you see in the Extra, but the spot is more left than the one visible from the window, I suppose. However, it wasn't the thing, but the top of the rock :) And can you believe, I've been living in this neighbourhood for 51 years a month ago without knowing the spot better!
