Last day in Vienna

Today’s our last day but we have had a pretty full day as our flight isn’t until 9.20pm.

My Mom wanted to do a tour of the famous concert hall Musikverne which is where they hold the New Year’s Day concert every year. The tour was really interesting and we learnt that the concert is in fact on 30th, 31st and 1st because they don’t do all of it live so use bits from the previous days, so if you watch it look out for audience changes. We also learnt that some tickets cost €1300.

After the tour we had a walk around and stopped at another famous cafe called Cafe Demel. We had a late lunch followed by cake, you can’t resist the cakes here they are just too nice!

We then did some shopping mainly window as we were in the expensive area.

Had a lovely weekend here in Vienna.
