Cracked open

I remember when inside a golf ball you could find what seemed like miles of never ending elastic band wrapped around a small core. I think they went out of fashion for newer technology. 
I can't make out the brand, might be "Nuo" or "Nua" something.
Looks like a planet that has split open due to some catastrophe. Maybe someone building a huge orbital ring around it like I suggested here a few days ago.
