Quick visit to Aberdeen

It was rather more of a chore to get myself out of bed this morning but once I was up it wasn’t too bad. Messages from the children wishing me a Happy Mother’s Day which was nice.

Our other friends had to leave by 10.30 so they ate a quick breakfast before the rest of us. We enjoyed a fabulous cooked breakfast of sausages and bacon from a local farm, haggis, scrambled eggs and mushrooms and lashings of tea.

It didn’t take too long to get organised and we were in the car by just after 12. We headed to Peterculter to visit Mr PHL’s sister and brother in law. Their golden retriever Elsa is a wee darling and enjoyed showing us her toys. We took them to the Ashvale for an early fish supper dinner and then headed back to Edinburgh.

Found a box of M&S flowers on the doorstep, a little bedraggled looking but hoping they perk up by the morning. Thanks kids.

Managed to get the car emptied and everything squared away before I collapsed into bed just after 10.
