Spring has Sprung
With the extra daylight hour and a bit of sunshine we are beginning to feel that spring really has arrived; the forsythia is blooming profusely everywhere.
Last rehearsal this evening for Tring Choral Society ahead of the concert on Saturday - we certainly haven't peaked too soon! We are performing two works - Beethoven's Mass in C and Mozart, Vesperae Solennes de Dominica. Both are challenging but beautiful - we have had to work hard to get these to performance levels.
We have been investigating the options for re-roofing our (quite large) conservatory. It's south facing so we are looking for a solution to extend it's usefulness either side of spring and autumn. The option we are likely to go with will spread the seasons plus enable more efficient heating retainment on the occasions when we need to heat and use it in cold weather.
