Falstone

We are having a few nights away.  We have just travelled about an hour away from where we live and are staying in the village of Falstone which is beside Kielder Forest and Reservoir in Northumberland. 

Accommodation is very nice and weather forecast is good.  What's not to like.

Had a wander around the village on our evening stroll.  It's small but very tranquil and pretty.  For the size of the village I was surprised to see that it had two large churches.  One may now be closed.

Although it's not far from home I have only visited the area a couple of times in the past so I am looking forward to discovering more about it.
