Garden and book

I didn’t have any photos so went to take a photo of my book. When I looked up I saw the pretty scene out the window. 

Oh boy, oh boy….the book is a beauty. Cross between the Handmaiden’s Tale, 1984 and current politics and government power taking over control of our lives. Read it if you are game. “A near future thriller, an unflinching look at a society close to tipping point and a story for our times, highlighting the power of female friendship through a dynamic group of women determined to triumph against the odds” the main characters are a midwife (my previous profession) and her teenager daughter. 

I went up to Miss Traill’s House and Garden for a cuppa and see the gang. I’m unable to garden at the moment but needed to collect a plastic container I had taken slice in a few weeks ago. They are a friendly bunch. Then I popped into the Election hub with all the flyers and maps for letterboxing. Tonight we had an hour long Zoom meeting to plan the next few weeks. I can’t do much but am doing what I can. 

I thought the Connections puzzle was interesting today. I got one line out of four.
