Solace Day 8 - Leaving

Our week on the canal is over and the only kingfisher blipped was a brass one on the tiller in Extras.  This fabulous painting is on one of the boats that has been hauled out of the marina for blacking. It was too high up on the stands for me to feel whether ift was painted or stuck on. Whatever..... I just loved it. I've chosen my thumbnail carefully so as not to fool blippers into looking here for a real kingfisher shot!

The journey home was uneventful until 7 miles from home. The Volvo, full up of three people's stuff for our holiday (we need to take a lot of specialist stuff for the boat) had a puncture. Stuff hauled out onto the verge, wheelchair, bags of clothes, bags of bedding, etc., in order to get the spare tyre out. Then the rain came after a dry week!

We should have been able to change it but, things were going wrong so we called the RAC. Home in time for tea.
