They call lurchers like Siofra 'sight hounds' as they hunt by sight rather than smell. Here she has spotted the tiny figure of a man at the far end of the beach. (She didn't hunt him down by the way). Often something right in front of her, like a piece of sausage, may have her snuffling around for minutes trying to find it. May need varifocals like me.

Guillaume, a close friend of our dear friend Thomas who has passed in the last days, contacted me with details of T's funeral rites which will take place next Friday, April 4th, this has a link also where condolences can be expressed on Thomas’s passing and a nominated charity should anyone of his blipping friends wish to make a donation in his memory.



Dear Michael, dear blipper friends of Thomas,

I am still in shock and disbelief about the passing of my dear old friend, whom I have known for more than thirty years. He was the gentlest of souls, full of humor and intelligence, and possessed an extraordinary gift for photography, amongst many talents.

Reading your kind words about him and seeing how deeply he touched so many lives is both comforting and heartbreaking. Those who knew and loved him are invited to make is they so wish a donation to the French patient association against Syringomyelia, Apaiser.org
