Pioneer Days Parade.

Today is a State holiday here in Utah. It's Pioneer Days. This day in 1847 the pioneers leader came through the mountain pass and stated, "This is the place!".

It's a great celebration. Last night there were fireworks. This morning a parade. Several other things are going on all weekend. It seems as though everything is closed today. (Except my work tonight).

I absolutely love this photo! The guy is just so happy riding around! His parrot looks even happier! I can't stop laughing every time I glance or even think about it.
