Surprised

... by a young heron walking towards me at the pond tonight. I was watching the swans when he came up out of the water and stalked along the edge of the pond in my direction. Then he walked up and down quite near me, fishing as he went, picking off a fish every few seconds. Amazing to see.

Almost forgot to mention - there ARE four fox cubs in the park. I saw them pop out from the gap in the fence, one after another, till there were four!
