Soggy Bottom
A trip to Rosedale to see if the wild Daffodils were out. These are much smaller than their garden cousins. Narcissus pseudonarcissus are the only wild daffodils native to Britain. There is concern that the spread of garden Daffodils will hybridise these wild ones. Farndale is more famous and has a surfaced path to see the wild Daffodils. However I prefer Rosedale being quieter and with a more natural feel.
The title alludes to the fact the main photo involved crossing the stream. A slippery rock caused an unscheduled close encounter with the stream. It was worth it to get up close with the best of the display. Not convinced I did them justice but a beautiful afternoon to enjoy them with only three other people seen on my walk.
The extras are all from the walk along the valley.
