Talking on Tuesday

I seem to have done a lot of talking, well, discussing today. We had house group at Christine’s in the morning, so lots of animated exchanges there. Sadly my friend Alison couldn’t come, having woken up with a very bad migraine. Linda needed to get home earlier than planned, so we have postponed our garden centre lunch and look at summerhouses until another time when we can all make it.

I used the unexpectedly free afternoon to transfer my various collections (stamps, coins, postcards, BBC and Royalty ephemera etc, etc, etc) from the soon-to-be-gone wardrobe in the main bedroom into the empty chest of drawers in the spare room. The gardener arrived to give the back and front lawns their first cut of the year, which they needed. Luckily, I had already taken a photo earlier on of the pretty primulas that had spread themselves from the borders into the middle of the grass (see my blip). Of course they have now been chopped up by the mower… :-(

After tea, I went up to St Luke’s for this evening’s session of our Lent Course. More discussion ensued, which is what it’s all about. This year we’re taking a Christian look at the environment. We feel it would probably be a more wide-ranging debate if we had people of different faiths and none taking part, but it’s doubtful that they would have any interest in joining us!

I’ve just got home from that, and am now relaxing for the rest of the evening.
