Leucojum Aestivum
Sometimes known as giant snowdrops, Is thought these were worth a blip, they are doing exceptionally well this year and over two feet tall. Jason the gardener turned up this evening. I hadn't met him before but was very taken with him. He looks for ways to help in addition to what I asked if him. The blip was taken just after he finished tonight, at 8.10. He's fitted us in for a couple of late in the day sessions, lucky the clocks went forward at the weekend so he was working in daylight. He's made a good start the place looks better already, lots still to do, but it's easy to do a little when you know someone is coming to do the hard work!
The rest of the day was filled with small tasks, I went to see if the joiner had started yet (no), and when I got to the rectory going a delivery van trying to get hold of him to deliver the great of the kitchen. The painter(apparently) was supposed to have been there to let them in. My passing by was very fortunately timed. I had an hour to spare so hung around while they delivered the appliances and some other parts of the order. Only the replacement doors to come now and they are due tomorrow.
From there my next stop was the charity shop for my afternoon shift. I was very lucky and picked up a Seasalt dress and pair of Seasalt linen culottes, perfect for summer holidays later this year.
