Drove down the M1 to Crick to meet CL at the nursery there. Wasn’t really planning to get much, apart from two replacement plants for the pots next to my front door, but ended up with a pretty full boot. Twenty of them went straight into my mini greenhouse for a month or two until it’s time for summer planting. From there we drove the couple of miles to the Pickle and Pie for lunch. It had new owners about six months ago and we don’t think the menu is quite as good, but we still enjoyed it. Had a good catch-up- the saga with her son and his soon to be exwife continues. Came home via two b and qs for a particular replacement house plant I wanted. Was successful at the second and also got a half price one for J. No idea why it was reduced- it seems very healthy.
Nottingham Forest were playing in the evening- lots of happy fans walking back to their cars at 10 pm ish
