Candlepin bowling

New England was very much like old England today. It rained ALL day! So we had a quiet lazy one. Went to the cinema (aka 'the movies') this afternoon. The kids wanted to see different films and I drew the short straw and had to go with Becca to see the Smurfs 2 instead of Percy Jackson with Ollie. Bah!

Went back to our friends after for homemade pizza and then this evening we went out bowling. Candlepin bowling is native to New England, involves a smaller ball with no holes, thinner pins (hence harder to knock down!) and three throws per frame.

Fun times! (Although looking forward to the return of the sun tomorrow)
