The Feast Day of Mary the Egyptian. Patron saint among other causes, of chastity.

It is difficult to summarise the conversion Mary the Egyptian experienced, from a tragic sinful life that was abusive prostitution, to a life of repentance, living alone in the desert.
It was significant to remember that the conversion happened as the Saint was standing in front of a statue of The Blessed Virgin Mary. She suddenly realised the vastness of her sinfulness and from then did great penance to attone to God.
Thanks to the great kindness of a holy man named Zosimus, who gave her his protective cloak to wear, she was in the fullness of time, buried alone, by Zosimus.

The weather is blue skied, very sunny and much colder. Google weather forecast says it is 12c but feels like 10c.
There is also a news feed reporting all parts of England are due snow and a temperature of minus 3c.
The poor plants need care.

Paul is about to attach a Cat Step Ladder to the outside of the Conservatory framework, so that if Hunter jumps from the neighbour's flat garage roof onto the Conservatory roof, then Hunter can, if he chooses, climb down the little step ladder. We shall see.
