Amaryllis no 2

Just as the last bloom on the lovely white/pink Amaryllis starts to droop, this one, a Christmas present, is about to bloom.

I’ve moved it from the dining table where I’m starting to sort the 2000 jigsaw pieces, into the window. You can see the magnolia blooming behind it through the windows and at the bottom  pots of daffodils and narcissus, particularly Avalon, about to bloom. A touch of red to the right is a Japanese Quince - Chaenomeles.

I’ve taken lots of garden pictures again today there is so much in bloom. I’ve had bedding on the line and it’s pretty much dry the problem has been keeping it from blowing off. Lovely sunshine again but still that cool wind.

We walked on to the garden centre for a coffee and to buy some sweet peas. I got a new indoor plant watering can. I had a very nice metal one which sprung a leak in the spout. This is plastic and half the price and won’t rust!

Chris overdid it in the garden yesterday cutting back and shredding fuchsias. He’s hurt his back but is trying to keep moving! He said he wouldn’t have been able to make that fabulous walk we did last Wednesday from Soller to Fornalutx but I’m sure he’ll make it up to the pub for early drinks with friends!
