Sod’s Law

I had a hospital appointment this morning in South Shields. Their car park is terrible so we left early at 0815 to drive the 14 miles for a 0930 meeting. 3 miles from our house we hit a traffic jam and the next 2 miles took 50 minutes. Grrr. To add insult to injury, the obstruction was a quarter mile of cones, no warning, no workers, nothing. I made the hospital with 10 minutes to spare, the consultant was 45 minutes late and there were no parking spaces left.
