Reed Bunting on Willow

It's been a home day today, despite the rather splendid weather. The back garden lawn is no more, having enjoyed the tender mercy of next doors heavy duty scarifier.

The builder's laydown area had pretty much done for most of it, so reducing it all to a fine tilth and re-seeding was not much of a loss. I managed to finish painting the internal door to the garage too. What a good boy am I...

Many of the willows have burst into life now, and this one is about to. In the branches is a reed bunting, although in fairness I wasn't sure until I ran it past the still-not-quite-evil Google Images search app...

I mentioned the other day I was now volunteering as the local butterfly surveyor for the UKBMS, and you can see some of the flutterbys I spotted yesterday, here.

It's not too late to pop in your Tiny Tuesday #TT514 if you've not already done it. I'll be reviewing them all tomorrow.
