In morning we had the first session of our Software Carpentry Course. The 15 participants were very keen and seem to have enjoyed the course. In the afternoon I did some tidying up of bits and bobs and then joined a BBQ hosted by another group of the IT department on our terrace. It got quite late.

One of the coolest things about the Charité is the pneumatic tube system. Every now and again you can hear the swishing sound of a cartridge going through. This is the first time I noticed the tubes together with the somewhat more modern ethernet cables.
