Cleaning Up

Day before yesterday I posted a photo of some post winter cleaning up operations. This morning while preparing breakfast I heard the rumble of several machines outside on the road so of course I just had to go take a peek. The water tanker was spraying water on the dusty road, the tractor and trailer were standing by to ferry the gravel away and there straight across the street the Great Vacuum Cleaner was travelling up and down the footpath until every speck of gravel which had been spread to afford us safe footing, had been swept up and deposited into the tractor drawn trailer. 
We pay our taxes and we get services. Without all of this the country would grind to a halt within two weeks of the onset of winter and would likely never re-emerge.
