American Skunk

During my lunchtime walk I noticed this plant next to the ornamental pond within the rock garden at the Crichton. I had never come across this before. Apparently it is the American Skunk, an invasive species https://www.invasivespecies.scot/american-skunk-cabbage . I wonder whether the Trust know about this plant. I think I might let them know. The plant does look rather striking, but can take over!
