Like Snow on a Dyke

There are banks of blackthorn (sloe) at intervals along the coastal path.  The flowers of blackthorn, Prunus spinosa, emerge before the leaves and at this time of year can make it appear to have snowed.

Further to yesterday's blip, the survey helicopter was back today but a little further inland where it was thoroughly covering the ground around Thornton.  I have added an 'extra' of its flightpath.
