A Fabulous Day!

After a quick grocery shopping this morning, I got lunch ready for a friend who was coming to visit. I made one of my favorite meals - a luscious spring salad with some greens from the garden, radishes, blanched asparagus and peas, olives, bacon (always bacon!), grilled chicken breasts and dressed with a lemon garlic vinaigrette. Heavenly! We had a most delightful visit and talked and talked.

After he left I puttered around outside with my iPhone Moment Macro lens. Per usual, only a couple of good shots. The light was kind of dull - it's cloudy and sprinkling this afternoon, although there have been sun breaks. I put a couple of Epimedium sempervirens 'Candy Hearts' (Candy Hearts Bishop's Hat) in the extras. The anemone really caught my eye though - that pink seems to say it all!
