Being photographed

Today I let someone photograph me so I could learn from the experience. I really enjoyed it. I haven’t seen the pictures yet but the process was tons of fun. We went to the Tidal Basin in DC which is the traditional area for the Cherry Blossom festival. The rainstorm the other day nearly eliminated the blossoms here. There were some trees that still had them and I have no rhyme or reason why some trees were spared and others weren’t.

I have a new Employee Identification Number and submitted a registration for a new business in Maryland. WOOHOO!!!

Newsweek says that the Financial Times journalist Gideon Rachmaninov (I don’t have a subscription to the Financial Times so I can read it firsthand) wrote that North Korean soldiers in Russia have been gorging on pornography. They’ve never had “unfettered” access to the internet before.

A supporter of Putin and someone who helped mobilize men for the war in Ukraine, Vladimir Mikhailovich Ananyev, died during ice hockey this weekend. He probably died of natural causes because he didn’t fall out a window. 

Ukraine’s Unmanned systems Forces are recruiting members for a new unit - exclusively female drone operators. Men can be in the unit, but the drone operators will be women. The unit is called the Harpies.
