Scilla, sometimes known as squill
Lesley and l went up to Middleton Hall for a couple of hours in the brilliant sunshine yesterday. We went mainly to see the swathes of scilla that are out and what a fantastic display.
And now for the results of our last Mono Monday challenges. There were nearly 90 entries again and some were great fun and very imaginative, luckily when Lesley and l conferred we had very similar choices so here we are, hearts will be winging their way to:
♡ Nanzy19 - a terrific funghi
♡ Kersko - great to be able laugh at yourself with your red nose and make others laugh too.
♡ Alocasia100 - what a stunning and very weird flower beautifully photographed.
♡ JohnRH - American Gothic, a good tale to go with the photo also.
♡ Sue Middleton - such a weird race but looked lots of fun.
Honourable mentions to:
☆ C1aire - postbox knitting , such a weirdly wonderful past time brightening up people's lives.
☆ Apothacary7 - statue
☆ dollydoug - a collage of gargoyles, always wonderfully weird.
Lesley and l agreed we really enjoyed hosting this month of mono Monday challenges, it was fun to do it together and we were fascinated by all the different takes on the same theme. We discovered a lot of blippers we had not come across before and had a laugh at the same time. Come on, step up and host a week or whatever time you can reasonably give, doing it with a friend is even more fun.
