A Riot of Pink….
Japanese Anemone or “Eriocapitella hupehensis”. This lovely variety, a semi-double, is probably “Sweetly” or maybe “”Queen Charlotte”. A good friend gave me some cuttings and it is growing well in my garden. It does tend to spread but I don’t mind as I love the colour and form. I also have the white single variety. I believe that one is called the “Wind Flower”.
We had 5.5mm of rain overnight but only some drizzle during the day. A total contrast to the heavy rains on the western side of the South Island, Tasman, Buller region and the West Coast. I would love some more rain to slip over the hills to Blenheim.
