The second cape

Today we have reached Ashizuri, the second cape and southernmost point of Shikoku.

Beautiful blue ocean. We walked across the beach, and were helped in finding the path by a man who was playing golf on the sand. We made it just in time, as the path was impassible at high tide.

We walked a route through the trees for part of the way, I was glad of respite from the asphalt. The way was marked by ancient carved stones.

We visited temple number 38, Kongōfuku-ji, which was quite large and spacious with a big pond where we saw newts!

Today we walked about 13 miles.
