Lines and shadows
Day two continues at an even slower pace - not least because I’m feeling pretty grim. I’ve had an awful night and now feel sick and achy. At least we have a lovely room to relax in with views across the Atlantic - there are worse places to feel ill!
I abandon all thoughts of food leaving G to breakfast on his own, and most of the day I just alternate between reading my book and commenting on blips - if I’ve not got to yours yet, it’s just because I’m very slow!
The highlight of our day is a sort of Blipmeet, as blipper Gasman visits us with Mrs GM, and our friends Shan and Hywel. They’re spending a week on the island staying in Santa Cruz and have come into Funchal for the day. We sit in the lounge, drink tea and chat before they make their way back ‘home’. Foolishly, I forget to take a photo, but we’ll meet up again before they leave.
So all I manage is a walk through the gardens once again. Rather than butterflies or flowers, this pair of chairs catches my eye - with its combination of lines, shadows and textures.
