Town and Country
A bit of town and country rhythm and blues for today.
Main is the town: there's always a loon in Doune.
Extra is the laid back country on a morning bike ride.
Started the day in the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. No, no. I was there to take part in the ScotHeart2 trial, which is undertaking research to look at the risk of heart disease outcomes in those who undertake a CT scan v those who do not. Today, lifestyle interrogated (ooer), height/weight, blood pressure, bloods for kidney function and cholesterol, and for future research, DNA based, anonymous.
I will be assigned to a control group, or go forward for a CT scan. Computer decides on a random basis apparently.
When my results are passed to the doc, I expect an ambulance to appear at my front door. :-)))
We'll see. After that lot, getting out into the wide world was absolutely essential. Lovely weather, great day in the main.
