An early start...

...for us...

Up, showered and breakfasted by 8am. We had been given a timeslot of 8am to 12 noon when an EON engineer would arrive to replace our old electricity meter. Typically, he didn't arrive til 11.30, by which time we felt we'd been up for weeks...

The job was efficiently completed, however, so after lunch we had a walk along to Whitley Bay in the sunshine. Great strides have been made on the cycle way since we were last here, and it was lovely to see a long string of children having a biking lesson on it ;)

A stop off on the way back for a cherry ice cream for me, and a macchiato for Roy - what's not to like...
