~Coin~
Today I spent 6 hours at hospice house and was privileged enough to sit with a veteran who was career Navy. He was given a certificate, pin and this coin.
I pressed the coin in his hand and held it until he passed away.
In the military and veteran community, challenge coins are small medallions, often given during a handshake, to recognize achievements, membership, or affiliation with a group, and are a symbol of camaraderie and respect. ~In the military and veteran community, challenge coins are small medallions, often given during a handshake, to recognize achievements, membership, or affiliation with a group, and are a symbol of camaraderie and respect. ~
