This summer magazine of the Clyde River Steamer Club features 'pioneers' of the Clyde with 1905 paddler "Pioneer" top right serving Islay and Jura...through the porthole 1974 ferry "Pioneer" a favourite ...Henry Bell top left who started the steam age on the river with 1912 "Comet"...modern dual fuel "Hallaig" serving Skye to Raasay ...and the Saunders-Roe SRN6 hovercraft which was 'flying' between Clyde resorts in the mid 1960s though their use didn't 'takeoff' for long for various reasons.
