Pearlbush?

This delightful blossom is on a bushy hedge at the front of a property along my road. My plant identifier says it’s ‘Exochorda racemosa’, or the Common Pearlbush, which originates from China and Japan. I walked past it four times today, firstly on my walk back from dropping off the car at 8am to have both rear tyres replaced. Then going on foot to St Luke’s for the Thursday service, returning later on, and finally walking back up to collect the car. Apart from this photo, the only other one I took was a lovely portrait of my amazing 93-year-old friend Trudie which I would have loved to post but hadn’t asked her permission to put it online.

At coffee we had a big discussion about Trump & co and their disruptive political agenda, which I imagine is one being had right around the world at the moment! After that, I went along with my friend Alison to view a 2-bedroom flat she’s interested in buying. I think it’s pretty good value for the asking price, and with my long history of flat ownership I am advising her on questions to ask about flats and leasehold properties. Ultimately it’s up to her to visualise living there and whether that would suit.

After lunch I picked up the car and paid for the new tyres. Once I’ve emptied out the garage I plan to get a newer car, but will keep my current 12-year-old one while I’m still doing trips to the tip and charity depot with various stuff.

I fell asleep on the sofa all evening after supper (must have been all that walking), hence the backblip and late comments on other blippers’ journals!
