Aqua Slidecoaster

Martin’s a braver man than I, so I photographed him coming down on the Aqua, a ride that snakes around the top deck, whooshing as it wets you. It’s complimentary, which was also a plus. Martin, not one for rollercoasters, found it scary at first, then a hoot - coloured lights inside the tunnel add interest. His main reaction to this fun photograph is ‘fat’. 

There are other complimentary attractions, including ‘The Drop’, which sends you in a tube from deck 19 to deck 8, as well as a multitude of lesser evils. I do quite fancy playing the crazy golf.

The extra is pic is of last night’s main stage act, Cleopatra (comin’ atcha) Higgins, lead singer of the popular eponymous Nineties girl group with her two sisters. As well as being a tremendous singer, she was so friendly and chatty - being from Manchester, ‘I can talk for England’.

Having a super last few days and we will eventually reach New York,  I am sure.
