Something to do at church craft group
Take a clean scallop shell
Cover it with some liquid glue/varnish with a fancy name
Cut a motif from a paper napkin and peel it so only the top, fragile layer remains
Place it in the scallop shell and press down until it sticks
Cover it with another layer of glue/varnish
Brush it on so enthusiastically that the body of the bumblebee develops a large tear
Find another napkin with the same motif, cut out just the body, and carefully stick it over the torn one
Carefully apply another layer of glue/varnish until you see that you’ve made a tear in the bee’s left wing
Repeat the repair action that you used for the body
Reply to someone who congratulates you on adding the yellow dots so beautifully that you didn’t even realise that the napkin had yellow dots on
Squeeze some gold paint from a tube onto a very small paintbrush and give the shell a nice gold edge
Realise that other ladies’ shells look much nicer than yours because their motifs cover the whole shell
Notice that you made a mistake by cocking up the paper near the bumblebee’s tail and now it’s much too late to rectify it.
Put it on the table with the others then go and do some nice colouring
