Victorian Schoolroom
Rob met up with some of his mates for lunch today in Hartlebury so in my role of taxi driver I went over to Hartlebury Castle to pass away a couple of hours. In years gone by this was the home of the Bishops of Worcester but now it is a house to visit, lovely grounds, a cafe, a transport section and the Worcestershire County Museum.
I decided to visit mainly the Museum today and was particularly intrigued by an exhibition about the 1950s and this Victorian schoolroom. I remember having desks like that in the 1960s never mind the Victorian era. We didn't have an abacus or finger stocks to stop us fidgeting . I will attempt to add those in extras.
It was an interesting place and if anyone fancies it, you can have a day's blacksmith experience in their forge. Anyone interested?
