A Favourite tree

This Ash tree is in a field beside Hamilton wood. There’s a close-up of a branch in Extras. I love the curled up leaves because they remind me of brambles.
We walked through the wood, across a couple of fields and into Balcaskie Estate wood, through that then onto one of the tarmac roads that lead to the Big House. Then we turned off , back across the fields and back into the wood. A good walk on a sunny but very cold day, although it feels like it was too far.
The rest of the day was spent doing as little as possible. Mostly reading.
