Iceland - Day 3

Up early and after a good breakfast it was out for the South Coast day. First up was the Lava Centre in Hvolsvollur. While we were there a new eruption started on the webcams.... exciting!  Chatted with 2 other Rayburn tutors as well. That means twice in the last year I have been in Iceland when a new eruption has started. Along the coast to Skogafoss where they got wet and then down to the black sand beach where the waves were large... over the hill to Vik for lunch and supermarket and met up with another Rayburn colleague. Back for a walk with crampons and ice axe up onto Solheimajökull glacier - good weather for it. Finished at Seljalandsfoss then back to the accommodation for curry night and a pint.
