Mrs Wilson’s coffee house
We went over to Silloth today to get some sea air. You could see Scotland over the Solway Firth quite clearly. We went in Mrs Wilson’s cafe. It’s a tribute to Kathleen Ferrier, a contralto singer from the 1950s. My school music teacher was a fan of hers and liked to play records of her in the lessons. Kathleen F married Mr Wilson, hence the name of the cafe.
The cafe is full of memorabilia about the singer.
